Arnica Infused Sunflower Oil

INCI: Arnica Montana Flower Extract and Helianthus Annuus Seed Oil

What is it?

Arnica infused oil is made by steeping arnica flowers in a carrier oil, usually sunflower oil, to draw out the plant's beneficial compounds. The main active compounds are sesquiterpene lactones, particularly helenalin. It's typically used in formulations aimed at bruising, muscle soreness, and minor skin irritation.

How is it used?

Use in the oil phase of a formula like any other liquid oil. No heat processing is required beyond what the base oil needs.
