Cera Bellina

INCI: Polyglyceryl-3 Beeswax

What is it?

Cera Bellina is a modified form of beeswax, made by converting beeswax's free fatty acids into polyglycerol esters using heat and vacuum. This makes the wax water-loving instead of purely oil-loving. It's typically used in formulations as a co-emulsifier and gel-forming agent for balms and lotions.

How is it used?

Melt it into the oil phase of a formula, typically alongside other oils rather than as a complete replacement for a formula's main emulsifier.
