Rosemary Oleoresin (ROE)

INCI: Rosemarinus Officinalis (Rosemary) Leaf Extract

What is it?

Rosemary oleoresin (ROE) is a concentrated, oil-soluble extract of rosemary leaves, standardized for its carnosic acid and carnosol content. It's typically used in formulations as a natural antioxidant to slow rancidity in oils.

How is it used?

Add directly to fresh oils as early as possible, ideally before any oxidation has already started, since it slows further oxidation rather than reversing existing damage.
