Sodium Carbomer, Preneutralized

INCI: Sodium Carbomer

What is it?

Preneutralized sodium carbomer is a carbomer (acrylic acid polymer) that's already been neutralized to its sodium salt form before sale. It's typically used in formulations as a cold-process, easy-to-use gelling agent.

How is it used?

Sprinkle into the water phase (or a water/alcohol blend up to 70:30) while stirring; it thickens immediately without further steps.
