Using FormuMate
FormuMate is a formulation workspace for makers and formulators. You are responsible for how you use the site, the information you enter, and any decisions you make from calculator or assistant outputs.
By accessing or using FormuMate, you agree to these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree to them, you should not use the service.
Your account
FormuMate uses Google sign-in, there is no separate FormuMate password to manage. You are responsible for keeping your Google account secure, since anyone with access to it can access your FormuMate account. Accounts are for individual use, and FormuMate is not currently directed at children under 13.
Your responsibilities
- Use the product lawfully and do not misuse the service.
- Do not attempt to disrupt, reverse engineer, or abuse the platform.
- Keep control of your own account and authentication methods.
- Do not post content you do not have the right to use or share.
- Verify important formulation results independently before relying on them.
Your content and data
You own the formulas, notes, inventory records, and other content you create in FormuMate. We store it so the product can work, to show it back to you, back it up, and operate features like versioning and search, not to claim any ownership over it.
Full detail on what is collected, which outside services process it, and how long each type of data is kept lives on the Privacy page. In short: your Lab formulas, inventory, and suppliers stay private to your account; Formulation Assistant threads are saved so you can return to them and can be deleted anytime; Skin Chat is never stored on our servers at all.
Third-party AI processing
The Formulation Assistant and Skin Chat send your messages, relevant formula context, and any photos you attach to our third-party AI provider to generate a response. That processing happens under that provider's own terms. Do not upload photos or content you are not comfortable sending to a third-party AI service.
Formulation outputs
FormuMate does not replace product safety testing, stability testing, regulatory review, or professional judgment. Outputs may contain mistakes, so you should review and test formulas before making, selling, or distributing products.
No warranty
FormuMate is provided on an as-available basis. The product aims for accuracy and reliability, but uninterrupted access, error-free outputs, or suitability for every formulation use case cannot be guaranteed.
Suspension and account removal
We may suspend or remove access for accounts that violate these terms or misuse the service. You can stop using FormuMate at any time, and can request your account and its data be deleted through the Contact page.
Governing law
FormuMate is built and operated from Ghana. These terms, and any dispute arising from your use of FormuMate, are governed by the laws of the Republic of Ghana, including Ghana's Data Protection Act, 2012 (Act 843) for how personal data is handled. See the Privacy page for how that applies to your data.
Updates
These terms may be revised as the product changes. Continued use of the site after updates means you accept the revised terms.
